Dr. Michael Hauschild's research interest focuses on diabetes, metabolism and puberty, as well as neonatal endocrine problems. His research projects include: 1) studying the role of FGF21 as a link between metabolism, puberty and chronorythms; and 2) studying the influence of metabolic changes on cardiovascular function.
His clinical practice covers the spectrum of pediatric and adolescent endocrinology. His training as neonatologist explains his special interest in the link of early environmental factors in endocrine regulation of metabolics and chronorythms.
