Silvana Andric
Faculty of Sciences at University of Novi Sad, Serbia
Professor
Basic Scientist
Professor Andric's research interest is oriented to cell signaling in male reproductive endocrinology. The current research activities include studies of some aspects of the mechanisms involved in the adaptation of Leydig cells functions to conditions of disturbed homeostasis of whole organism (stress, blockade of adrenergic receptors, androgenization, hypogonadal-hypogonadism). The main focus is on steroidogenic machinery (consisting of steroidogenic enzymes and regulatory proteins, numerous steroidogenic transcription factors, as well as plethora other regulatory signals) and related signaling pathways, as well as mitochondrial biogenesis markers.
