Centre d'épidémiologie psychiatrique et de psychopathologie (CEPP)

Le Centre d'Epidémiologie Psychiatrique et de Psychopathologie (CEPP, anciennement UREP [Unité de Recherche en Epidémiologie et Psychopathologie]), fondé en 1994, comprend une équipe de recherche multidisciplinaire composée de psychiatres, de psychologues chercheurs et cliniciens, d’épidémiologistes, de statisticiens et de data-managers. Les activités du CEPP comprennent la recherche et l'enseignement de l'épidémiologie psychiatrique et de la psychopathologie ainsi que le soutien de l’ensemble de la recherche clinique du département de Psychiatrie (plateforme logistique de la recherche clinique, animation de la Commission de la Recherche Clinique).

Les objectifs scientifiques du CEPP sont :

• d’étudier la forme et la fréquence des différentes manifestations des troubles psychiatriques ainsi que la comorbidité entre ces différentes manifestations;
• d’identifier des facteurs de risque impliqués dans la pathogénèse de ces troubles psychiatriques;
• d’examiner l’agrégation familiale des troubles psychiatriques présentés par les sujets auprès de tous leurs membres de famille de premier degré (père, mère, frères et sœurs, enfants);
• de mieux comprendre l'association complexe existant entre les maladies cardiovasculaires, leurs facteurs de risque et les troubles de la santé mentale.

Le CEPP a aussi participé à la traduction, l'adaptation et la validation des instruments développés pour déterminer le phénotypage des troubles psychiatriques et des facteurs de risque environnementaux.

De nombreuses collaborations avec d’autres unités et départements sont en cours. Les deux projets majeurs conduits actuellement sont deux grandes études prospectives, l’une menée sur des cohortes cliniques et la seconde sur une cohorte de la population générale.
