Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs)

Healthcare-associated infections (HAI) are a threat to the quality and safety of care. Surveillance, outbreak investigations, and prevention are key elements of infection prevention and control programs. Knowledge acquired through these activities helps to adapt strategies to prevent HAIs. Our group works on lessons learned from nosocomial outbreaks and surveillance of HAIs.
