Petr Grivaz holds an engineering master’s degree in Life Science and Technology and a PhD in Neuroscience from the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). His domain of research included the study of neural and behavioral mechanisms of and interactions between the bodily self-consciousness and peripersonal space. For this, he employed experimental psychology, psychophysics, electrical vestibular stimulation, functional magnetic resonance imaging (3T & 7T), robotics and virtual reality. He joined the CHUV in 2018 as a post-doctoral fellow and specialized in experimental approaches for cognitive neurorehabilitation by means of custom-made serious video games. Since 2021, he is the manager of the Neurorehab Research Center.
