The decision to create the Leenaards Memory Centre - CHUV (CLM) was taken in 2009. Memory and neuro-behavioral consultations have been implemented in the Service of Neurology CHUV, but it was in January 2013 that the centre has officially opened its doors.
CLM is an autonomous structure of the Department of Clinical Neuroscience (DNC), resulting from joint contributions of DNC (Service of Neurology and Service of Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation) and the Departments of Psychiatry and Medicine.
Its activities fit the Alzheimer's plan decided by the authorities of the Canton of Vaud. CLM works in constant contact with regional Memory centers of the canton, located in Rolle, Rennaz and Montagny-près-Yverdon.
With the multiple skills at its disposal and research within which it is involved at Swiss and international level, the CLM aims to provide the best possible services in a multidisciplinary framework that integrates specialties from neurology, neuropsychology, advanced age psychiatry and geriatrics.
