René Prêtre is a cardiac surgeon specialised in congenital heart defects. As such, due to the close anatomic relationship of the heart and the lungs, he is regularly involved with pulmonary problems, including the airways.
He has developed a minimal invasive approach to relieve vascular compressions of the trachea and main bronchus. More significant, he participates in the correction of complex trachea-bronchial diseases. For that, he and his team provide the circulatory support with a heart-lung machine to allow the ENT team perform safely these demanding procedures.
