Dr Anna Surbone obtained her degree in medicine at the University of Turin (Italy) in 2007, with a score of 110/110 cum laude as well as an honourable mention. She completed her thesis in the field of oncological gynaecology. During her studies, she undertook various clinical placements in Israel, Turkey and Tunisia and, in 2007, she was awarded the Prix Optime as the best graduate in medicine in 2007.
In 2008, Dr Anna Surbone started her postgraduate training in the Department of Surgery at the Hôpital du Chablais (Monthey). Subsequently, and after working for six months as an assistant in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Hôpital d’Aigle, in 2009 she started university training in gynaecology and obstetrics at the CHUV. From 2010 to 2011, she worked in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Hôpital de Morges. During her clinical years, Dr Surbone continued to cultivate her interest in research, publishing several articles, presenting abstracts to various congresses and developing clinical guidelines.
In November 2015, after completing her training in gynaecology and obstetrics, she joined the Fertility Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology unit, where she developed her principal interests, particularly in the field of the menopause.
She was promoted to senior physician in December in April 2022 and is now medical manager for the Medically Assisted Reproduction sector and the the Andrology and Reproductive Biology Laboratory.
