In order to improve the accuracy of medical diagnosis, to produce predictive models and algorithms in healthcare, and to improve therapeutic strategies, the specialists at the Biomedical Data Science Center (BDSC) are developing artificial intelligence based software. This software is integrated into the CHUV information technology system in collaboration with the Information Systems Department.
They also implement natural language processing tools and machine learning models that process large quantities of information in a short period of time. These models provide accurate answers to queries, such as information retrieval and document categorization.
Using artificial intelligence algorithms trained on real data, our specialists are able to artificially generate synthetic data without violating privacy laws. Synthetic data has the same statistical distribution and predictive capability as the original data, but is free from privacy concerns because the original data cannot be recovered or reconstructed.
Our specialists support you in the end-to-end development of tools for secure research data management (MedCo for multicenter studies, HORUS Privacy for anonymization of structured and textual data).
