Research

The Biomedical Data Science Center leads research and innovation in developing novel solutions in data science and artificial intelligence with application to medicine. 

The center benefits from an established network in the fields of health, science and industry within the Lake Geneva region. As a medical and technological hub, Lausanne has broad expertise in medical technology and long-standing experience in translational research stemming from the CHUV, the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and the Biopôle campus. All of these centers are located within a few kilometers of each other. This rich and varied scientific environment favors the development of collaborations and partnerships within the center.
