About us

The Institute of Radiophysics (IRA) is an organization within CHUV, specializing in ionizing radiation, mainly in the medical and radiation protection fields.

IRA provides services in radiotherapy, medical physics, radiation protection, radiometrics, and radioanalytical chemistry, and plays a key role in training and continuing education in radiation protection.

The Institute of Radiophysics is involved in advanced research and also participates in national and international projects through numerous partnerships.

IRA is accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) for testing, inspections, and calibrations.
