Biography

Giulia Cossu is a neurosurgeon affiliated with the Lausanne University Hospital and she is Master of Teaching and Clinical research at the University of Lausanne since 2021.

Dr Cossu completed her medical studies in Turin, Italy, and underwent neurosurgical training in Lausanne and in Tours, France. With a passion for the human brain and a great surgical aptitude, Dr. Cossu made significant contributions to the development of innovative surgical techniques in the field of white matter surgeries, dealing in particular with epilepsy surgery and surgery for brain tumors located in eloquent areas. She also advanced the frontiers of neurosurgery in the field of pituitary surgery and in the management of cerebrovascular pathologies. Beside her clinical skills, her extensive publication record reflects her strong academic pursuits.
