Luis Schiappacasse is a medical professional who completed his studies in Chile and received training in Radiation Oncology in France. He gained valuable experience as a resident at the Institut Gustave Roussy in Villejuif. Throughout his career, he has worked in Australia (James Cook University), Spain (Instituto Madrileño de Oncología), and France (Centre Oscar Lambret, Lille).
Specializing in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic radiotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy, Luis Schiappacasse has dedicated a significant portion of his clinical and scientific work to treating brain tumors. In 2013, he took on the role of leading the Neuro-oncology team at the Radiotherapy Department of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois in Lausanne. He also established a highly regarded brain metastases clinic, which has become a reference center in Switzerland and Europe for the management of these patients.
